A new addition to our community is our beautiful Library. Visit the official website by going to hughesvillelibrary.org. The Hughesville Area Public Library offers leisure and educational materials for adults and youth in a friendly atmosphere.

     During the June 11, 2007 Council Meeting, bids were opened for the demolition of the "old blighted library" on Main Street. Demolition should take place in July leaving an area to be used as a small park with benches and shrubs. We would like some feedback from the community. What would you like to see, maybe a mural on the wall? Please note there won't be enough area for playground equipment.    e-mail the Borough at hughesborosec@comcast.net. Hughesville Friends Church - June 7, 2008 - 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM                    137 S. Third St. is giving free clothing to those in need; all sizes from tot to adult. There will also be free snacks that day.
